Next-Generation Crane Bridge Solution for Wide Spans and Heavy Loads

Saypost Beam Crane Bridge is an advanced engineering solution based on pre-tensioning and post-tensioning, developed for industrial facilities that require wide spans and high lifting capacities. Compared to conventional steel systems, it offers greater rigidity, cost efficiency, and vibration-free performance.

Thanks to Saypost Beam technology, crane bridges can be safely designed and implemented with spans of 20 m, 30 m, 40 m, 50 m, 70 m, and beyond, and lifting capacities of 30 tons, 50 tons, and 100 tons.

Advantages of Saypost Beam Crane Bridges

  • Wide-span capability
  • Spans of 40–60–70 meters can be achieved without intermediate columns, eliminating columns that would otherwise restrict operational layouts.
High Rigidity under Heavy Loads; Thanks to Saypost Beam pre-tensioning technology, the vertical and horizontal inertia values are significantly higher than those of conventional systems. This ensures minimal vibration and sway in the crane bridge.

Lower Structural Height; Required load capacity is achieved with slimmer cross-sections and lower bridge height, increasing the net usable volume within the facility.

Long-Lasting Crane Mechanism; Reduced vibration extends the lifespan of moving components. Maintenance and operational costs are minimized.

Transportation and Assembly Advantages
  • Depending on local transportation conditions, Saypost Beam Crane Bridges can be manufactured as single-piece units.
  • In projects with transportation constraints, the crane bridge can be produced in segments.
  • Segments are designed to fit 40’ OT container dimensions.
  • On-site bolted assembly, followed by Saypost post-tensioning technology, creates a monolithic single-piece structure.
Application Areas;
  • Industrial production facilities
  • Heavy industry buildings
  • Logistics and warehouse centers
  • Power plants
  • Aircraft maintenance hangars
  • Special structures requiring column-free wide spaces
In facilities like aircraft maintenance hangars, crane bridges can be suspended from Saypost roof truss systems, creating column-free, flexible, and highly efficient usable areas.

Saypost Crane Runway Systems: Superior Solution for Wide Spans and Heavy Loads

  • Saypost Crane Runway systems are an innovative solution developed for crane tracks operating under heavy lifting loads with wide truss and column spans, based on pre-tensioned (post-tensioned) concrete girder technology. Compared to traditional reinforced concrete and steel crane runway systems, they offer greater economy, higher rigidity, and the ability to span longer distances.
  • Economic Crane Runway Solutions for Wide Column Spans

When facilities require the removal of edge columns to increase production space, conventional systems typically achieve crane runways in 10 m – 10 m – 10 m spans. With Saypost Beam technology, crane runways can be safely implemented in 20 m, 30 m, and 40 m spans, providing architectural flexibility while reducing total investment costs.

  • Continuous and Modular Saypost Crane Runway Production

Depending on project requirements, Saypost Crane Runways can be manufactured as:

  • Continuous crane runway systems, or
  • Modular, segmented units

Girders are designed according to transportation constraints and can be produced in sizes that fit into 40’ OT containers.

At the assembly site, the transported segments are:

  • Joined with bolted connections,
  • Converted into a single-piece crane runway using Saypost post-tensioning technology, or only with bolted connections, depending on the requirement.
  • This approach enables wide-span crane runways to be implemented quickly and safely.
  • Vibration-Free Crane Operation with High Inertia Values

In Saypost Crane Runway systems, the vertical and horizontal inertia values, which directly affect crane operational comfort, are significantly higher than in conventional crane runway solutions. This high rigidity ensures that:

  • Vibration and sway in crane bridges are minimized
  • Service life of moving components is extended
  • Maintenance and operational costs are reduced

  • Superior Stability Against Lateral Loads

Crane runways are located between column cantilevers, so when the top beams cannot be connected between two columns, lateral stability becomes critical. The system must remain stable, especially under lateral loads from crane bridge wheels.

The natural cross-section geometry of Saypost Beam and its high top flange inertia provide much greater lateral resistance compared to alternative crane runway solutions.

  • More Net Space with Lower Runway Height

Saypost Crane Runway systems can achieve the required vertical inertia values with a lower crane runway height compared to conventional systems. This provides:

  • Increased net usable interior space
  • Enhanced architectural and functional flexibility
  • Maximum space efficiency in industrial buildings

  • Column-Free Crane Runway Solutions for Hangars and Special Structures

In facilities such as aircraft maintenance hangars, where both column-free wide spans and crane bridges capable of moving along different axes are required, Saypost Crane Runways can be suspended from SAYPOST roof truss elements. This solution allows crane runways to be designed without columns, providing completely column-free usable space.

In every job that requires engineering and effort, we strive to do the undoable and reach the unattainable.
